Abstract:
For individuals with advanced pancreatic cancer, celiac plexus block (CPB) or celiac plexus neurolysis (CPN) is a frequent palliative therapy. We present the case of a patient with advanced pancreatic cancer who experienced acute cholecystitis after undergoing two different CPB surgeries. The patient’s relatively benign appearance, including the absence of Murphy’s sign and a normal liver function serum profile, highlights the case’s uncommon character. This example exemplifies the complexities of pain in advanced pancreatic cancer patients who have undergone CPB and have experienced acute gastrointestinal problems.
