Abstract:
The aim of the study was to analyze the result of propranolol on general aerophilic stress and endotoxemia in patients with liver cirrhosis of the liver and clinically important malignant hypertension proved by the presence of muscular structure varices. Methods: Fourteen patients with liver cirrhosis of the liver and muscular structure varices, not antecedently been treated with non-selective beta-blockers (NSBB), were prospectively started on propranolol and followed up for 3 months. humour early and late macromolecule peroxidation product (lipid hydroperoxides [LOOH] and malondialdehyde [MDA], severally), and toxin concentrations in peripheral blood were measured. Fourteen age- and sex-matched healthy people were used as controls. Results: Patients with liver cirrhosis of the liver conferred considerably higher general aerophilic stress and toxin concentrations compared to healthy controls
